Matthew David Moore, 46, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born in Morgantown on July 23, 1975 to Sheila A. Dalton Harvey.
Matt was a talented artist and skilled tattoo artist. Matt enjoyed camping and being around a campfire and outdoors. He liked to fish and have fun with his friends. Matt was a jokester and fun to be around. Matt had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family. Matt loved a good meal. He dearly loved his nieces and nephews: Addisyn, McKennah, Liam, and Finley and enjoyed playing with them. Matt was very close to his sister and loved her dearly, they shared a birthday that will never be the same.
In addition to his mother, Sheila,Matt is survived by his step-father: Rick Harvey; special friend and soul mate, Carrie White, who he affectionately referred to as Lou Lou; sister: Brandi Lynn Shaffer (Robert John Mercer) of Morgantown; step-sisters: Mandy Neal (CK) of Morgantown and Candy Sadler (Elisha) of Morgantown; a step-brother: Jason Harvey (Buffie); nieces and nephews: Addisyn Shaffer, McKennah Mercer, Liam Mercer, Finley Mercer, Javon Harvey, Trevor Harvey, Landon Harvey, Tyler Harvey, Katelynn Neal, Lillian Mercer and Aryanna Mercer; aunts: Debbie Summers (Bill), Sherry Bosley, Vicky Devall (Greg), and Debbie Perani; and cousins: Adam Summers (Brooke), Kari Lindsey (Chris), Cody Jeffrey, and Christopher Lamar (Rebecca)
Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents: Kenneth and Wilma Dalton and Harold and Dixie Moore; and one nephew Robert Matthew Mercer.
Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd., Westover on Saturday, May 14th from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm with Pastor Doug Strothers officiating. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
