Obituary of William "Bill" C. Rader

William “Bill” Rader, 77, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his home followed by an illness. Bill was born on March 23, 1945, in Morgantown, WV; and grew up with both of his parents, the late Burley and Mildred Rader; and one brother. Bill graduated from Morgantown High School in 1964 and retired from West Virginia University from the Copy Department. Following his retirement, he continued doing other jobs for WVU. He enjoyed his church family at Brookhaven Bible Church; visiting with friends and family, and was Past Grand Patriarch at IOOF #7. Bill is survived by his wife of 14 years: Martha “Sue” Moore Rader; his brother: John Rader of Fairmont; two daughters: Brandy Carder of Braxton, WV and Stacey Swisher of Salem, WV. The joy of his heart were his grandchildren: Austin James, Emmaleigh Paige James, and Shanda Swisher. Bill also found great pride in his great-granddaughter, Sophie Willow James, daughter of Austin and Cordelia. The family wishes to thank EMT and paramedics with Monongalia EMS for their care and support during this time. Also Care Partners, who provided excellent care and Herschler and all of their other providers. Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 10 am until the 2 pm funeral service with Pastor Jim Cooley officiating. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation service. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
