Jack Sommavilla, age 77, died at home on June 19, 2015 after a long illness. He was born in 1937 in Bretz, WV, son of the late John and Mary Sommavilla. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1963, subsequently serving in the Army Reserves. He lived in Morgantown and worked as a US rural mail carrier until retiring in 1995. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and socializing with friends. He is survived by his wife, Judy Sommavilla of Morgantown WV; two daughters, Erin Adkins and spouse Bruce of Concord, OH, and Jaci Sommavilla of Mentor, OH; one son, Joe Sommavilla of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Jack, Claire, and Ava Adkins; and five sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Beall and his staff, with special thanks to the infusion nurses at the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center.
