Obituary of Jack W. Arbogast

Jack William Arbogast age 91 of Cassville-Mt. Morris Road, Morgantown passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Monongalia General Hospital with his family by his side. He was born March 13, 1924 in Clarksburg a son of the late Presley Arbogast and Minnie Mae Cooley Arbogast. Jack had been a coal miner with Humphrey # 7 and was a member of the UMWA Local # 1058. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II with the 53rd Battalion Medical Corps. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed working on cars and “junking.” He loved music and was a self-taught harmonica player. Jack also loved fishing and was a Methodist by faith. Jack is survived by one daughter, Judith Ann Forquer and husband William Sr. of Cassville-Mt. Morris Road, one grandson, William E. Forquer Jr. and wife Tammy of Morgantown and one great grandson Bristin W. Forquer. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Kathleen Burris Arbogast, one daughter, Rosemary Petsko, two sisters, Tessie Woody and Genora Belle Woody, and two brothers, Clarence Arbogast and Randall Arbogast. Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown from 4-8 pm Tuesday, and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Milford Watters officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery with graveside military services provided by Westover VFW Post #9916 and WVANG military honors, Camp Dawson.
