Doris Eleanor Deavers age 82 of Granville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Mapleshire Nursing Home. She was born March 23, 1933 in Morgantown, WV a daughter of the late Edward Earl Delaney and Aretis Shank Delaney. Doris had been a former nurse’s aide at University Hospital. She was a longtime and active member of the Riverside Apostolic Church where she enjoyed reading her Bible and knitting blankets for individuals in the church. She was a kind, loving person, who possessed a gentle soul, was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Doris is survived by her sister, Willa Charlene Eveland of Columbia, MD, numerous nieces and nephews, her friends and caregivers, Ruthie and Johnny Kilionski, of Granville and her loving dog Cinnamon. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Roy Deavers, and her sister Carolyn Sue Ammons. Friends may call at the Riverside Apostolic Church on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will held Tuesday at 1:00 pm with Rev. William “Bill” NeSmith and Rev.
