David P. Rohr, 81, of Jere, WV, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. David was born in Reedsville, WV on March 11, 1934 to the late David L. and Helen M. Bucklew Rohr. David served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Rockville Mining Company. Until recently he enjoyed gardening and was always proud of his tomato plants. He loved to mow his lawn and take care of his flower beds. Dave loved to talk and share stores with family and friends. He also loved playing his guitar and fiddle, enjoyed bluegrass music and was an avid Nascar fan. David leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Betty Mitchell Rohr; two daughters Cindy Everly and her husband Tom of Morgantown and Kathy Bowsher and her husband Robert of Hilliard, OH; three grandchildren: Ashlea Summers, Rachel Mitchell and her husband David, and Abigail Bowsher; one great-grandchild Brayden Summers; one sister Wanda Hunker and her husband Don of Arnettsville; one brother Howard Rohr and his wife Linda of Independence. Family will receive friends at McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 4-7 pm and on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 9:30 until the 10:30 am funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
