Obituary of Opal Chase

Opal Lou Chase age 94 of Morgantown passed away Saturday, October 7, 2018 at Evergreen Assisted Living.  She was born July 2, 1924 in Nicholas County a daughter of the late Felix Carpenter and Rosa Crites Carpenter.

Opal was a homemaker and attended Riverside Apostolic Church.  She was an avid angel collector and enjoyed embroidering.

Opal is survived by two daughters, Joan Chase Tressler of Westover and Nancy Thomas and husband Ronald of Cheat Lake, one son Chuck Chase and wife Vicki of Halleck Road, grandchildren, Renee Tressler, Robert Tressler II, Teressa Thomas  Anderson, Preston Thomas and spouse Anna, Laticia Chase and spouse  Lee Stern, Alyssa Chase, Charlie Chase III and spouse Morgan, Zachary Chase, Maria Chase Hovatter and spouse Chad, great grandchildren, Dakota Tressler, Caanan Nethken, Kayla Huckaby, Karlee Anderson, Tyson Thomas, Trevor Thomas, Taya Thomas, Quinten & Aden Stern, Madalyn Jo Dalton and Riley Chase, and great great grandchildren, Charlee Tressler and Preslee Tressler

Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie C. Chase, two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Nathaniel Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
