Obituary of Philip Caruso
Philip Caruso age 89 of Pennsylvania Avenue, Westover passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born March 13, 1926 in Filbert, PA a son of the late Michael Martin Caruso and Antonina Fonti Caruso.
Philip was a longtime salesman for Monroe Shock Absorber in the tristate area. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II and was a member of the Westover VFW Post # 9916.
Philip is survived by his son, Philip Caruso Jr. of Westover, his son-in-law Gary Walden, two grandchildren, Tiffany Walden and Brian Walden; great grandchildren, Brooks and Brynn Walden, two brothers, Michael Martin Caruso and Ed Caruso, three sisters, Alice Caruso, Patty Mandarano, and Linda Sparr, two special nieces, Sheila Lorince and Charla Cabe and several other nieces and nephews.
Philip was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Caruso, daughter, Tina Walden, brothers Carmel Caruso, Canava Caruso, and Art Caruso, and one sister Francis Caruso.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown on Monday from 10 am until 12:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Monday at McCulla Funeral Home with Father John DiBacco officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery with graveside military honors conferred by the Westover VFW Post # 9916. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
