Rev. Edward A. Ghuste, 75, of Morgantown was carried into the arms of his Heavenly Father on February 17, 2018 at his home. Ed was born in Morgantown on May 27, 1942 to the late Edward A. Ghuste Sr. and Mary Janes Faulknier Ghuste.
Ed retired from Consolidation Coal Company as a mechanic and electrician. Ed’s faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and enjoyed spreading the Good News of the Gospel. He and his wife pastored Faith Apostolic Church of Brave, PA for 13 ½ years. During that time, through his ministry, was blessed to lead many to Christ. Currently, Ed was an associate minister at Riverside Apostolic Church. He deeply enjoyed the Tuesday morning prayer group who prayed for this community and needs that were called in. He reveled in the Lord being as close as the mention of His name.
He always enjoyed when the whole family gathered. Especially the back yard ball game and the laughter from the kitchen when everyone was together. He never missed an opportunity to tell us how great our God is, always having a scripture to meet every need.
Ed leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Delores Rice Ghuste; daughters: Kimberly Mertz and husband Brian of Pittsburgh, PA, Christine Whyte and husband Jeff of Inwood, WV and Lisa Wright and husband Charles of Morgantown; his eight grandchildren were the apple of his eye: Rachel Pastor, Lauren Mertz, Brian Mertz, Ryan Harrison, Joseph Whyte, Nathan Whyte, Mikayla Wright, Ethan Wright; and five great-grandchildren, one being born as recently as February 12, 2018; sister Pat Gidley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glen and Trisha Rice one niece: Mary Beth Ghuste and two nephews: Joshua Rice and his wife Andrea and Cody Rice and his wife Molly.
