Obituary of James Edward Rancjik

James Edward Rancjik, age 68, of Westover went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Ed was born November 18, 1949 in Morgantown a son of the late Bessie Lee Rancjik and Richard Beard.

Ed was a supervisor for 42 years with the maintenance and environmental services for the Monongalia County Board of Education and was an active member of the WVA School Facilities Association.  He was an active and longtime member of the Westover United Methodist Church, where he served as Lay Leader for thirty years, sang in the church choir, and helped with vacation bible school. He was also the District Secretary for the United Methodist Men.

Ed is survived by his wife of fifty years, Gayle Marie Gibson Rancjik, three daughters, Debra Doyle of Newnan, GA, Jennifer Rappa and husband John of Framingham, MA, and Katelynn Jagannathan and husband Arvind of Morgantown, grandchildren, Miranda Doyle, Nathaniel Doyle, Emily Rappa, and Jason Rappa, sister, Lou Ann Beard of Morgantown, brothers, Warren Beard and Mark Beard both of Morgantown, aunts, Gladys Fata and Jeanine Rancjik both of Morgantown, and sister-in-law Betty Schleger of Grafton.

Friends may call at the Westover United Methodist Church, 28 North Street from 3-5 pm & 7-9 pm Friday and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Jo McCartney officiating.  Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Mausoleum.
