Obituary of Gloria V. Baniak

Gloria “Ticky” Baniak, born April 27, 1927 passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 after a brief illness. 

“Ticky” was an artist and an established painter of glass and ceramics.  She completed a long career as a decorator with numerous renowned glass producers, such as B.P. Lamp (McMinnville, TN), Sinclair Glass (Hartford, IN), L.G. Wright Glass (New Martinsville, WV), and Davis and Lynch Co. (Morgantown, WV).

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Martin Baniak and oldest sister, Clara June (Mitchell) McCune, and brother, Frank Gilbert Mitchell.

She is survived by her sister, Julia Marie (Mitchell) Iannello of Charleston WV.

Her step-children, John Martin Baniak Jr., Pamela (Baniak) Conklin, and Odessa (Baniak) Bauman currently reside in Florida.

She is directly survived by her nephew, Gregory Iannello and wife Anita, her niece, Michele Iannello, her great-nephew Elliott Iannello, and her great-niece, Christina Iannello.

She will be loved and missed by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great-nephews, and great-nieces.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown from 5-8 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati STD VE officiating.   Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
