Obituary of Jack L. Gamble
Jack Lee Gamble, age 77, died on June 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 1, 1939, in Morgantown, West Virginia, the son of the late Edith St. Clair Gamble and Garnet Gamble.
Jack was always quick with a story and loved to entertain his friends and family at his home, on the golf course, or on Cheat Lake. He was a hard-working business man who loved his family and friends dearly.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Leigh Ann Gamble, and by his son, Keith Gamble (Tracy Gamble). The loves of his life were his grandchildren, Annmarie Gamble and Jack Mason Gamble. He leaves behind his beloved brother, Bud Gamble (Arlene Gamble), and his beloved sister, Kay Gamble Murray (Art Murray). He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Jean Jones DeAntonis and Mary Gamble. He is further survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends, who will remember him always.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, JoAnn Marie DeAntonis Gamble. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Willard Ray Gamble, Gerald Keith Gamble, and Donald Gene Gamble. His brother-in-law and business partner, Raymond DeAntonis, also preceded him in death.
The family owes a debt of gratitude to special friends, Mark Day and Richard Warrash and their families.
Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home 770 Fairmont Road, Westover on Thursday, June 8, 2017, from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday, June 9, from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral service with Rev. Father Carlos Melocoton officiating. Interment will occur immediately following the service at Beverly Hills Memorial Garden.
Jack’s grandchildren are requesting donations in lieu of flowers to be made to WVU Children’s Hospital 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506 in their Pap’s name.
