Obituary of Carl "JR" Junior Mayle

Carl Junior “JR” Mayle, age 55, of Morgantown, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home. JR was born in Morgantown on October 9, 1961, a son of the late Carl and Mabel Woody Mayle, Sr., and raised by his late grandparents, John & Pearl Mayle. JR worked at Ruby Memorial Hospital for several years and later at Dominion Post as a contractor and a lifetime member of Glorybound Apostolic Tabernacle. In his free time, JR enjoyed bowling and camping. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed singing gospel music with Granny Blosser and friends. He was also a member of the Morgantown Moose Lodge #264. JR is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Phillips Mayle; children, who were his pride & joy, Alexis, Savannah, Carl “CJ”, Jeff, and Isaac Mayle; sister, Wilma Stotler and husband Leroy; many nieces, nephews, and friends; and canine companions, Annie, Diamond, and Mia. In addition to his parents & grandparents, JR was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Jo Mayle DeWitt; and brother, Terry Gay Mayle. Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 19, from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and on Thursday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastors Norma Stimmell and Jim Freeland officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com
