Obituary of Margaret Louise Goodwin

Margaret Louise Goodwin age 74 of Westover went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born June 2, 1942 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Roy C. McKinney and Sophia L. Whipkey McKinney.
Margaret was a retired Registered Nurse at Monongalia General Hospital with over forty years of service. She was a longtime member of the Westover United Methodist Church where she loved singing in the choir with her husband Ken. She was also an active member of the Westover Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time Margaret loved reading and watching the Pirates play baseball.
Margaret is survived by her husband of fifty years, Kenneth B. Goodwin, one daughter, Becky Ruckle and husband Bill of Sugar Grove, one son Kenny Goodwin of Westover and three grandchildren, Maggie, Cody, and Hannah.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to WV Caring Hospice for their love and kindness to Margaret
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover from 4-8 pm Thursday and on Friday at the Westover United Methodist Church, 28 North Street from noon until the 1:00 pm funeral service with Pastor Rose McCartney officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to the Westover United Methodist Church, 28 North Street, Westover, WV 26501, the Westover Volunteer Fire Dept. 11 Cottage Street, Westover, WV 26501 or WV Caring Hospice, 519 G.
