Evelyn Jeanne Ayers, age 84, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. Evelyn was born in Morgantown, on November 18, 1932, to the late David and Leila Belle Whetzel. (judy) Evelyn was Cafeteria Manager for Jessie Clark Elementary School in Lexington, KY and attended Our Lady of the Lord Church in Daytona, FL. She loved cooking and gardening. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Missy Hanks Ward of Lexington, KY; son, David Ayers of Daytona Beach, FL; sisters, Anne James of OH, Lorraine Reese of MI, and Loretta Faulknier of VA; and grandchildren, Holly and Hunter Hanks, and Charlie Ayers. Evelyn was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10 until the 11 am service.
