
Obituary of Dale Thomas Heaster

Mr. Dale Heaster, age 84, renowned architect and developer of Snake Hill Road, passed away from a lengthy illness on Wednesday, February 1st.
Mr. Dale Heaster was a prize-winning writer of short stories and novels, and a play which he wrote was produced and presented in a Pennsylvania Theater Company. Mr. Heaster participated in the annual WV Writers' Conference for over two decades. As a young man he traveled to New England to meet one of his favorite poets, Mr. Robert Frost, whose own light was still obscured by that proverbial bushel, but who nevertheless effected a lasting impression on him
Dale was a veteran of U.S. Army, as a PFC.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey, Bruce, Mary Goslak Heaster, and Molly Heaster, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Heaster, his mother, Georgia Golden Heaster, his sister, Carol Brown, and his two brothers, Larry Heaster and James Heaster.
Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1 until the 2 pm memorial service with family and friends officiating. Military honors will be conferred by Westover VFW #9916 and WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson. McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services and online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
