Adalynn Maxie Hopkins, 22 months, of Morgantown, WV passed away December 3, 2016 with her parents by her side. Adalynn was a strong and brave little girl that fought a courageous battle.
Adalynn is survived by her parents, Dr. Jeremiah and Ann-Delyse Hopkins; brother Boden of Morgantown, WV; grandparents, Stephen and Deandra Jones of Wise, VA; grandparents Sean and Kimberly Anderson of Athens, GA; grandfather Randy Hopkins of Norton, VA; uncle Matthew Hopkins of Wise, VA; aunt Andrea Hopkins of Charlottesville, VA; aunt Ashlyn Jones of Wise, VA; uncle Thomas Anderson of Athens, GA; aunt Ruby Morgan of Athens, GA; great-grandmother Connie Dingus of Wise, VA; great grandparents John and Rebecca Anderson of Kingsport, TN; great-grandmother Dorothy Nelson of Wise, VA; great-grandparents Bob and Susie Jones of Wise, VA; great-great grandmother Emmie Rose of Kingsport, TN; great-great grandmother Virginia Steffey, of Dante, VA; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Susan Nelson; and uncle Jon Anderson.
The family would like to thank all of Adalynn’s caregivers from Ruby Memorial Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh; especially Dr. Stephan Paul and Dr. Marcus Malek.
Adalynn’s family will receive friends at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, WV on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 2 until the 3 pm funeral service with Evangelist Ben Jones presiding. Entombment will follow immediately at Beverly Hills Mausoleum. McCulla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, December 17th at Sturgill’s Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Further details will be announced at a later date.
