Obituary of Timothy "TJ" Allen Korzun, Jr.
Please share a memory of Timothy "TJ" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Timothy Allen “TJ” Korzun Jr., 32, of Morgantown, W.Va., died unexpectedly Friday, July 15, 2016, at home. TJ was born on September 4, 1983, in Morgantown, W.Va., son of Timothy Allen Korzun and Elaine Drake Korzun.
TJ was a proud employee of Judi’s, where he worked tirelessly as the manager of the University Town Centre operation. This was a perfect fit for TJ, as he loved when it snowed so he could use his plow. TJ was an avid lover of the outdoors and especially enjoyed mowing grass, something that he inherited from his Pap Dude. TJ had recently developed quite a green thumb, surrounding his home with many beautiful plants and flowers.
TJ loved his family more than anything in this world, and was constantly looking after his grandmother and younger cousins. TJ loved and missed his younger brother, Matthew, terribly; and has now been reunited with him in heaven.
TJ is survived by his mother, Elaine Drake Korzun (Jim Jacobs), and father Timothy Allen Korzun; his maternal grandmother, Beulah Drake, and paternal grandfather Jack (Shirley) Korzun; uncles Steve (Andrea) Drake, Doug (Pam) Korzun and Wayne (Kelly) Korzun; his aunts Kim (Rich) Glass, Valerie Lopez, Belinda (Barney) Cornett, and Doreen (Carl) Neely; his cousins Samuel (Stacie) Lopez II (their newborn son Samuel Lopez III), Marissa (Ed) Parker, Brittany (Derrick) Martin, Madeline, Trevor and Lylah Glass, Neil & Kevin Korzun, Ciara, CJ, and Colby Neely, Jonathan Cornett, Courtney and Corey Korzun. Also surviving are his employers Brian & Judi Murray whom he thought of as family.
TJ was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Elvina Panrell; his maternal grandfather, Gale Eugene “Dude” Drake, and paternal grandmother Sarah Korzun; his uncle Samuel Joseph Lopez; his brother, Matthew Scott Korzun, and his beloved boxer “Bella”.
Family and Friends will be received at McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 19th from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle on Wednesday, July 20th at 11 am with Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating.
