Robert “Bobby” William Bacorn, 49, of Morgantown passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 3, 2016. Bobby was born in Preston County, WV on September 17, 1966 to the late Robert E. Bacorn and Beatrice “Davie” Jack Bacorn.
Bobby was employed at Progressive as a mine machine repairman for many years. He could always be found tinkering around in his building, sitting in front of his building with his nephew Mike, or working on his truck, “Ol’ Brown”, riding his four wheeler, taking care of his fur baby, Beanie, and most of all enjoyed spending time and making lasting memories with his niece Maddy, his nephews, and his great-nephews, Tyler and Chase. People loved having him around and was drawn to his ability to make them laugh and his infectious smile.
Bobby is survived by his wife and companion of 20 years, Amy Lazzelle Bacorn; sisters Terresa “Terri” DeMent and her husband Ray of Granville, Robin Bacorn of Westover, and Wendy Judy and her husband Lee of Westover; his sister-in-law Virginia Cutright and her husband Don of Morgantown; brothers-in-law Art Lazzelle and his wife Carolyn of Morgantown, Dave Lazzelle of Morgantown (also known as the brother Bobby never had); and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ted and Vicky Lazzelle and many aunts and uncles.
Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6th from 4-8 pm and on Thursday, July 7th from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Bill Page officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
