Dear Linda and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Tonya was a very special person and I know you will miss her. When she was a little girl at Westover Elementary, she was very sweet and always happy. She handled her physical concerns as if they didn't exist and enjoyed being in school. Tonya loved her family and friends very much, especially Linda and Charley, and brought happiness to those around her. It's my belief that Charley and Tonya are together again and that Heaven has another precious angel. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you remember your many happy times with her. Tonya always kept in touch and looked out for her youngest brother, Charles. She reached out to him and made him feel loved. She was beautiful, kind, and so loving. She will be missed.

When Tonya was always a wonderful student, friendly, sweet, kind. Even after she left middle school, I would see Tonya out and about, she still would run over and give me a hug. Tonya was a beautiful young lady inside and out.

Q: How did you meet Tonya? A: I am signing on the behalf of my sister Keiara who went to school with Tanya. I personally met her a few times during the valentines day dances held at South Middle School and I have always adored Tanya's smile and positive energy. I especially loved her ability to make my sister laugh and feel the true meaning of friendship.

Tonya was a wonder person. She had a huge heart no matter what she was dealing with. She didn't deserve all the health problems she had. But she still tried to fight them like nothing was wrong. She was the sweetest person you could ever meet. I tried to visit her as much as I could but just not enough. I love you and miss you so much already.
