Gary “Doc” Neely, 80, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at his home. Gary was born June 10, 1942 in Morgantown, a son of the late Fred and Virginia Jolliffe Neely. Gary worked for the glass factory and then spent the rest of his career in the coal mines, retiring from Arkwright. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping with his wife at Springfield, WV and Turkey Hill in Wana, WV. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great- grandchildren trying to catch the elusive catfish from the family pond. Gary is survived by his daughter, Debbie Ann Snyder (Bud) of Westover; son, Daniel Scott Neely (Rebecca) of Morgantown; grandchildren, Corey Buzzo (Morgan), Chelsea Buzzo (Zack), Caitlyn Sine (Reno), Josh Neely (Dionna), Hannah Neely, Danielle Neely, Kameron Neely, great grandchildren, Rylee McCollum, Izaiah Erdie, Kayden Sine, Takoda Sine, Haidyn Neely, Jozi Neely; dog, Casper; special friends, Jim Vangilder, Dave Sweitzer, John Hiser, Alan Foster, and Joey Foster. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Arlene Ann Neely. Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road Westover, on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 4pm- 8pm and again on Saturday December 31, 2022 from 10 am until the 11 am service time with Rev.
