Obituary of Olga L. Truban

Olga L. Truban, age 91, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Olga was born in Rivesville, WV on May 25, 1923, a daughter of the late Abilio and Anna Brignolio Bruno.
Olga graduated with honors from UHS in 1939 at the age of 16 and then from the Morgantown Business College. She later worked as a library assistant at WVU for many years. She was a member of the Flaggy Meadow CEOs and St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, but her greatest joy was in her family especially her grandchildren and their accomplishments. She was a generous, loving person who will be greatly missed.
Olga is survived by her daughters, Linda Gardill and husband James of Glendale, WV, Ellen Ponceroff and husband Thomas of Cheat Lake, and Lisa Everly and husband David of Cheat Lake; son, David F. Truban and wife Kristi of Morgantown; sister, Sylvia A. Shafer of Morgantown; grandchildren, Christopher Gardill and wife Jodie of Wheeling, Catherine Ballard and husband Jason of TN, Rebecca Wagner and husband Andrew of Pearisburg, VA, Amiee Henkins and husband Adam of Morgantown, Rachel Twigg and husband Brandon of Morgantown, Zachary Ponceroff of Morgantown, Jacqueline Everly of Cheat Lake and Julianna Everly of Cheat Lake; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Brenna, and Darcy Gardill, William, James, and John Ballard, Olivia Wagner, Mia and Kai Henkins, and Merryn Twigg; and her dear friend and reading buddy, Jackie Everly.
In addition to her parents, Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd S. Truban; infant sister, Angela Bruno; and brother, Joseph.
The family would like to thank the staff of Evergreen Assisted Living, MICU and staff at Ruby, and Dr. Josh Dower and the hospice staff of 7NE at Ruby for their loving care.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 1 Guthrie Lane Morgantown, WV 26508.
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 2-8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Saturday at 10 AM with Father Chris Turner as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Beverly Hills Mausoleum.
