Such a wonderful pastor! I will never forget his care and compassion for my mother, Opal Evans, who was member of his church. I will always remember him visiting her in her final day and the preaching the most touching “going home” sermon I have heard.

DEAR PASTOR WOODS FAMILY I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE DEATH OF YOUR LOVED ONE I LAST TALKED WITH
WITH HIM JUST 2 MONTHS AGO AT A FUNERAL FOR SUE MORRIS FROM MT MORRIS HE WAS TELLING ME ABOUT
HAVINING TO HAVE A FEW OF HIS TOES REMOVED DUE TO HIS DIABETIES.I REMEMBER HIM COMING INTO
HARDEES IN WAYNESBURG WHERE I WORKED FOR 26YEARS WE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT HOW FUN IT WAS IN
THE MIDDLE OF WINTER CUTTING FIRE WOOD BECAUSE BOTH HAD OUTSIDE WOOD BURNING STOVES WE BOTH
HAD OUR STORIES HE WAS A TRUE MAN OF GOD JUST AS THE SONG SAYS I CAN JUST SEE HIM WALKING ON
THE SHORES OF HEAVEN.HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED I WILL REMEMBER HIM THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM A SMILE
ON HIS FACE GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I can Remember when pastor woods would come and pick my kids up for church and my daughter would always grab her shoes and run up the drive way bare footed with shoes in hand and Pastor Woods would always tell her he would never leave with out her . Such a Wonderful man . He will grately be missed
