Eleanor Elizabeth Stevens, 88, of Morgantown passed away at Sundale Nursing Home with her loving family by her bedside. Eleanor was born in Preston County, WV on March 9, 1934 to the late Charles Ringer and Catherine Hartman Ringer.
Eleanor spent her life caring for her family, as a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, loving and supportive mother, and doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved by many.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters: Karen Austin and husband Rick and Marjorie Kelly and husband Mike; son David Stevens and wife Sherri, all of Morgantown; grandchildren: Michelle Austin Southern and husband David, Richie Austin and wife Anita, Vaneesa Lynn Cralton and husband Aaron, Cassie Marie Tudek and husband John, and Kaleb Michael Kelly and wife Marilyn; and great grandchildren: Brayden Cralton, Aubrey Cralton, Oliver Kelly, Sarah Southern, Jacob Southern, and Caleb Austin, sister Wilma Sirk, and special nursing home friend, Mildred Fizer.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband: Luther Rawley Stevens; one son: Ronald Lee Stevens; one grandson: Steven Matthew Austin; sisters: Gail Cowen, Ellen Lewis, Margaret Sirk, Lillian Dixon, and two brothers: Bud Ringer and Harry Ringer.
Family and friend are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from noon until the 2:00 pm funeral service with Pastor David Hood officiating. Eleanor will be buried alongside her husband, Luther and near her son Ronnie at Eden Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
