Joyce Elaine Haines Pegg, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born on January 22, 1945 in Morgantown, WV, daughter of the late G. Lyle Haines and Dorothy Marie Buterbaugh Johnson. After raising four children in Frostburg, MD she moved back to Morgantown where she worked as a medical secretary in Infection Control at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She also cared for her mother until she passed away. Joyce later moved to Wheeling, WV to be closer to her daughter. Joyce was the rock for her children and grandchildren and they were her world. They gave her so much joy. She never failed to help those around her, even if she did without. Joyce was loving and kind to everyone she met. She fought with health issues most of her life, yet continued doing for others however she could. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude's Hospital, the ASPCA, the American Heart Association and the American Veterans Association. Joyce had a deep love of animals, especially her dog, Domino. She has had many pets over the years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Joyce is proceeded in death by her parents, Dorothy Marie Buterbaugh Johnson and Garnet "Lyle" Haines, her son, William "Michael" Pegg, a grandchild, Joseph Dean Pegg, two sisters, Judy Haines and Janet Capiola and a brother-in-law, Bob Capiola. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa "Michelle" Bartsch (Leo) of Wheeling, WV, two sons, John "Mark" Pegg of Vienna, WV and Christopher "Matthew" Pegg (Tracy) of Falling Waters, WV, a sister, Julie Haines of Morgantown, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 11:00am-1:30pm, Saturday, February 11 at McCulla Funeral Home in Westover, WV. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm followed by internment at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mt.
