Christina “Dolly” King passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 21, 2023, at 1:05 a.m. Surrounded by family and Lady Jane her dear cat. Christina is the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Kundrat. She was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on February 11, 1940; and lived in Osage, West Virginia, for most of her life. She was given the gift of travel; but always returned to her roots in Osage, West Virginia. Christina “Dolly” King is survived by her daughters: Diane (Russell) Johnson and Nancy Dunn. Her twin sister Catherine “Tootsie” Denney and sister Elizabeth “Betty” Ward. Her grandchildren: Angela (Richard) Oberwitte, Jonathan Painter, Benjamin Bearce, and Morgan Dunn. Her great grandchildren: Olivia Oberwitte, Alika Painter, Kaleb Oberwitte, and Alannah Painter. In addition to her parents, Michael and Mary Kundrat, Christina “Dolly” King was preceded in death by her husband Harry H. King and daughter Terry Bearce. Her 2 brothers, William Kundrat and Michael Kundrat. Her 3 sisters, Mary Tichnell, Ruth Douse, and Eileen Siel. Retired from Davis and Lynch Glass Co. and Mylan Pharmaceutical Corp. and Life member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Ladies Auxiliary. Veterans of Foreign War Post 9916. Member of the Scott's Run Museum and Trail – An organization that continues the memories of the West Virginia coal miners. And co-authoring a children's book displaying diversity during the earlier times in West Virginia with her lifelong friend, Patty. The family wishes donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Scott's Run Museum.
