Obituary of Ray Willard Mitchell
Ray Willard Mitchell, age 80, of Westover, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Madison Nursing & Rehab Center. Ray was born in Arden, WV on October 22, 1936, a son of the late Ralph and Thelma Rowan Mitchell.
Ray proudly served his country in the US Air Force and later worked as a coal miner for Dana Mining & GMS. He was a Protestant by faith. Ray was a hardworking and generous man who enjoyed antiquing, yard sales and flea markets. His greatest love, though, was being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Ray is survived by his wife, Carolyn Riggleman Mitchell; daughter, Gwendolyn Mitchell; sons, John Huber, Jeffery Huber, Joseph Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, and Nathan Mitchell; sisters, Waneta and Sharon; brothers, Paul and David; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover from 4-8 pm Sunday and on Monday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Pastor Jeffery Huber officiating.
