John “Bruce” Corwin age 58 of Snyder Run Road, Morgantown passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born July 18, 1958 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late John and Shirley Joan Toothman Corwin. When Bruce was two years old his father died and he was raised by his dad, Donald Eugene Toothman who now resides in Fairmont with his second wife Peggy.
Bruce had been the owner and operator of B&D Trucking and was currently driving for Savage Trucking. Bruce loved riding motorcycles, fishing and raising animals. He was a member of the Hoggs & Heroes Foundation 886, loved participating in fund raising rides and was a member of the Weston Moose Lodge.
Bruce is survived by his wife of twenty five years, Debbie Jean Seaman Corwin, one daughter Donna Jean Flint and husband Walter of Morgantown, three sons John Paul Corwin of Rivesville, Senate Lee Corwin of Rivesville, and Benjamin Miller of Morgantown, two sisters Shelia Corwin Gump and spouse John of Carolina Beach, NC and Donna Joan Toothman and companion Dodie Montgomery of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren, Tyler “McGoo” Dillow, Cierra “Cierra Pop” Dillow, Caitlyn Miller, Alexis “Birdie” Miller, Benjamin “Bubba” Miller, Emma Miller, Hannah Miller, Marshall Corwin and Gage Corwin.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Gerald “Sleepy” and Dorothy Seaman; and two grandsons, Ethan and Dakota Miller.
Bruce loved life to the fullest. He thought everyday was a blessing. He worked hard, played hard and cherished his family, friends and animals.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown on Monday from 3:00 pm until the 7:30 pm celebration of Bruce’s Life service with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating.
