Ted James Lipscomb, Sr. age 72 of Westover passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born January 13, 1944 in Westover a son of the late Chester and Blodwin M. Jones Lipscomb. Ted is a retired school bus driver for the Monongalia County Board of Education, and previously worked for Mountain Line Bus transport, a security guard at the Dept. of Energy, maintenance employee for United Maintenance and Timberline Apartments and was a welder for Sterling Faucet. Ted is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Martin Lipscomb. His four children, Ted Lipscomb Jr. and wife Betty, Shelly Ann Lipscomb, Keith Brian Lipscomb and wife Marcie, and Lisa Lee Lipscomb all of Morgantown, grandchildren, Joshua Allen Lipscomb, Travis James Lipscomb, Savannah Lipscomb, Marissa Lipscomb, Brianna Marie Bittinger, and Cody Michael Smith. Ted was preceded in death by three sisters, Madaline, Gladys, and Mattie Jane and three brothers, Ray, June and Dick. Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, on Thursday from 10:00 am until the noon funeral service with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to McCulla Funeral Home and online condolences may be made to the family at www.McCulla.com.
