Obituary of Richard Allen Little

Richard Allen Little, 62, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 4, 2016 at home with his wife, son Richard, and two special friends John and Donna Crippin by his side. Richard was born in Clarksburg on April 4, 1953 to the late Herbert Wallace Little and Jo Claire Markley Little.
Richard was a Baptist by faith and was a member of Goshen Baptist Church where he sung in the choir. He was a retired dining hall manager at West Virginia University. Richard served his country bravely in the Vietnam War. He was a member of many organizations, some of the most notable include: Joseph W. Summers Lodge #173 AF&AM, Morgantown Commandery No. 18, Osiris Temple, Morgantown Shrine, and Mountaineer Patrol OES Morgantown Chapter No. 35.
Richard is survived by his wife of three years, Charlotte Little; one daughter Kimberly Ann Owens and her husband Harry of Gypsy, WV; one step-daughter Pamela Anderson of Aberdeen, MD; one son Richard Allen Little II and his wife Elizabeth of Morgantown, one step-son Freddy Markley and his wife Barb of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren Zachary Owens and his wife Megan, Brayden Owens, Rachel Anderson, Timothy Markley, Michael Markley, Jesse Markley, Amanda Markley, Jamie Markley, and Wendy Braham; and great grandchildren Alexzandria Nicole Owens, Darrell Braham, Julianna Braham, and Trevor Braham; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Ann Little, and two grandchildren Brittany Nicole Owens and Samantha Jo Little.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the care and compassion extended to Richard and his family in their time of need.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to McCulla Funeral Home.
Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and on Monday, March 7th from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV with full military honors. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
