Anthony “Tony” Kucish, age 88, of Hagans, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Tony was born on January 11, 1929 in Crown, WV, a son of the late John and Antonio Ludage Kucish.
Tony retired from Consol Arkwright Mine. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his newest great great granddaughter, Addison. His passion was farming, gardening, and planting his flowers. He was an avid football fan, especially of the Mountaineers.
Tony is survived by his three daughters, Twilla Kucish, Sally Tonkin and husband Kenny, and Candy Long and husband Randy; grandchildren, Stefanie Cobun and husband Jason, Annette Riffle, Steven Cool, and Rodney Cool; four great grandchildren, Justin Riffle, Juwan Holland, Ryan Riffle, and Kristen Riffle; three great great granddaughters, Khloe Riffle, Addison Cobun, and Mackenzie Cool; and a brother, Frank Kucish.
Tony was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Lola Mae “Jo” Kucish; stepsons, Steve Cool and Danny Cool; grandson, Randy Ray Riffle; brothers, Louie, Mike, Steve, William “Bill”, and John Kucish; sisters, Ann Nuber, Rose Chromchik, Mary Posewick, and two in infancy.
The family would like to extend special thanks to caregivers, Connie, Michael, Sam, and Fred, for their loving and compassionate care along with Amedysis Hospice.
Family and friends will be received at McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9th from 2-7 pm and again on Wednesday, January 10th from 10 until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Isaac Harmon officiating.
